Millions of Kenyans gearing up to vote on Tuesday

Millions of Kenyans will go to the polls on Tuesday to pick their president for the next five years. Political rivals have spent the run-up to the vote urging supporters to keep the peace – whatever the result.
Uhuru Kenyatta is seeking a second and final term as president. He's up against veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga. The two candidates held their final rallies on Saturday, both calling for peace.
More than 100,000 security officials have been sent to voting centers.
Many people have left Nairobi, fearing trouble in one of the biggest battlegrounds. Some fear a repeat of the violence that followed the 2007 vote when at least 1,300 people were killed.
Much will depend on how well the election is run and how quickly the results are verified and released.
But for most Kenyans, the best result would be that this election goes peacefully.
