BRICS countries’ health and culture ministers meet in Tianjin

Health ministers from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) gathered for a two-day meeting in the northern Chinese city of Tianjin on Thursday.
The ministers from the five BRICS countries are aiming to join forces in tackling public health issues. They will also discuss research in traditional medicine. Representatives from the World Health Organization and other international organizations are attending the meeting.
BRICS culture ministers also met in Tianjin on the same day. They signed an action plan encouraging museums, art galleries and libraries to enhance exchanges and mutual learning through exhibitions and sharing information.
