Chinese woman killed, 5 injured in Cyprus speedboat accident

A Chinese woman was killed and five others aboard, including a Chinese family and the vessel's Cypriot operator, were injured in a speedboat accident in Cyprus on Monday, Xinhua News Agency reported citing the Chinese embassy in Nicosia.
The speedboat crashed onto rocks off the northwest coast of Cyprus at around 1600GMT on Monday.
The Chinese embassy said the five Chinese aboard were originally from the central Chinese province of Hubei, but had since settled in Cyprus.
The injured Chinese family -- a young couple, their son and daughter -- and the speedboat operator have been hospitalized. The girl is reported to be in critical condition.
