Russian Sports Minister Pavel Kolobkov says it is too early to make any conclusions on the doping probe into one of Russia's Olympic athletes. The bronze-medalist curler Alexander Krushelnitsky allegedly tested positive for the banned substance meldonium during the PyeongChang Winter Games.
PAVEL KOLOBKOV RUSSIAN SPORTS MINISTER "Let's not make any assessments. Let's not call it a provocation. Let's not say somebody spiked something. We just need to clarify what happened. Clearly the incident is very unpleasant. I hope it will not influence the decision of the International Olympic Committee on February 24th over the return of the Russian National Olympic Committee into the Olympic family."
Krushelnitsky has denied taking any banned substance. The Court of Arbitration for Sport said a hearing on Krushelnitsky's case has yet to be scheduled.
