Beijing International Film Festival: ​New Zealand showcases its movie scene in China's capital

As part of the ongoing Beijing International Film Festival, the Ninth New Zealand Film Festival opened in Beijing on Tuesday. A dozen movies will premiere during the one-month long event. Here's more.
"The Changeover", "Chronesthesia", "One Thousand Ropes", "3 Mile Limit" are among the 12 movies included.
The opening screening was comedy "Pork Pie". It tracks the escapades of a trio of accidental outlaws as they travel the length of the New Zealand in a yellow Mini, protesting conformity and chasing lost love, with a posse of cops and a media frenzy hot in their pursuit.
Road films that display an appreciation for New Zealand's natural landscapes. Art movies that discuss humanity and social problems. Both are showcased. Between April 17th and May 6th, the panorama will be shown to audiences in Beijing, Erdos of Inner Mongolia and Chengdu of Sichuan Province.
