Sebastian Gorka, US President Donald Trump's deputy assistant, has resigned from his position, CNN reported citing a White House official.
The Federalist newspaper, citing multiple sources familiar with the situation, first reported his resignation, adding that Gorka expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of the Trump administration.
"As a result, the best and most effective way I can support you, Mr. President, is from outside the People's House," Gorka was quoted as saying in the letter published by the Federalist.

46-year-old Gorka served as deputy assistant to the president and hired as a counter terrorism adviser at the White House. He has been often seen on networks, defending the President's policies and public statements.
He was once an editor of Breitbart News, a far-right news outlet run by Bannon.
He was born in London to Hungarian parents and became a US citizen in recent years and was known for his dire warnings of Islamic terrorism while at Breitbart.
The White House has seen high-profile departures on successive Fridays for several weeks. Gorka's departure followed the latest ouster of Steve Bannon, Trump's chief strategist, last Friday.
Other high-profile departures from the White House over the past months include chief of staff Reince Priebus and press secretary Sean Spicer.
