UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for those who used chemical weapons in Syria to be held to account.
Guterres met with a panel set up by the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons on Wednesday.
The panel is investigating the alleged chemical weapons attack in Khan Sheikhoun in April in which sarin was utilized, and another alleged attack in Um Housh where sulfur mustard was used in September last year.
Meanwhile, the head of the Syrian opposition delegation at peace talks in Geneva, Nasr al-Hariri, claimed the government delegation was refusing to engage in political discussions.
