From Wall Street banker to the head of a charitable organization, To Chung uses his wealth and talent to make a difference.
As head of the Chi Heng Foundation, he believes that philanthropy is not about giving money but about helping people to help themselves.
To this end, he travels from the poorest areas of central China's Henan Province to fund-raising dinners in Hong Kong.
On one occasion, he believed that giving practical help to families affected by HIV/AIDS is more important than writing checks or handing over money.
“It's much better for them to earn an income…They feel like they are useful person and produce for the families.”
