A Canadian skier David Duncan, his wife Maja Margrethe Duncan and the coach William Ryan Raine were arrested and accused of stealing a car in PyeongChang, South Korea last Saturday.
The three allegedly got into an unlocked car with the engine still running and drove it away before they were stopped by the police during the early hours last Saturday, according to the local police.
They said the weather was so cold outside that they decided to get into the unoccupied car, the local police reported.
The coach Raine, also the driver, was tested having a blood alcohol level of 0.162, which was over three times of South Korea’s legal blood alcohol limit of 0.05 percent, reported by CNN.
All three were detained for car stealing, with one of them, Raine, accused of drunken driving.

The chief executive Canadian Olympic Committee Chris Overholt confirmed the incident and the three involved cooperated with investigation.
"We are deeply sorry. We engaged in behavior that demonstrated poor judgment and was not up to the standards expected of us as members of the Canadian Olympic Team or as Canadians,” David Duncan and his wife apologized in a joint statement.
Raine also apologized for his inexcusable actions in his statement.
“Words are not enough to express how sorry I am. I have let down my teammates, friends and family. I would also like to apologize to the owner of the vehicle that was involved,” said Raine.
Overholt said at a news conference on Saturday that three Canadians were released when the local police concluded their investigation.
“The Korean police have concluded their investigation and our team members have been released,” Overholt said in a statement.
“We expect our athletes and team members to conduct themselves responsibly and in keeping with our Canadian and Olympic values. We are deeply disappointed in the behaviors in these individuals.”
