Yu Hong, one of the finest oil painters in China, made her first foray into virtual-reality (VR) art with 'She's Already Gone', at Beijing's Faurschou Foundation gallery. The exhibition provided viewers four phases of a woman’s life which were set in different eras of time: a newborn baby in the 1990s, a girl looking outside of her room in the 1970s, a lady from the Ming Dynasty unfolding her clothes, a priestess singing at a funeral ritual in the Neolithic ear. From birth to funeral, Yu tried to express the feeling of depression, suspicion and helpless in a perspective of woman. The picture is the second scene of her work, a lady in the 1970s. / Photo via China Daily
By witnessing the growth of her daughter herself, she hopes she could reflect the development and the growth the society by combining different mediums. The picture is the first scene of her work, the newborn in the 1990s, who was held by a doctor in a deliver room. /Photo via China Daily
