Rescuers pulled more bodies from the rubble of a 117-year-old building in India’s financial capital Mumbai that collapsed on Thursday, taking the death toll to 33 on Friday.
The dead include 22 men, eight women and three children, officials said. However, the number of those trapped under the debris is not confirmed.
Twelve other people were being hospitalized, said Tanaji Kamble, a disaster management spokesman for Mumbai's civic authority, adding that a search-and-rescue operation is underway.

The incident took place on Thursday morning in the densely populated area of Bhendi Bazaar following heavy rains.
Police haven’t determined the cause of accident, however, the old building had been declared unsafe in 2011 but families remained living there.
This is Mumbai's second major collapse in just over a month.
