Terra-cotta legends survive Shaanxi rainstorm

A storm has struck the Linting district of Xi'an, in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, with heavy rain battering the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor where the world-famous terra-cotta warriors and horses are housed.
Rain was blown into the mausoleum but the collection wasn't damaged due to fortified waterproof barriers.
The mausoleum has a special team to deal with emergencies such as storms.
According to the local meteorological department, the storm lasted around an hour and only affected a small part of the city.
