Who has the "smartest" artificial intelligent (AI) in the world? It may be Google’s AI.
According to a new study, the search tech giant has the AI of a considerably higher IQ than its rivals such as Apple and Microsoft. Led by a number of Chinese researchers, including Yong Shi, executive deputy director of the Chinese Academy of Sciences' Research Center on Fictitious Economy and Data Science, the study compared various popular AI systems in 2016.

It proposes a standard intelligence model that unifies AI and human characteristics in terms of four aspects of knowledge, namely information acceptance ability, output ability, creative ability as well as mastery and storage ability. Using this model, the researchers tested and ranked the intelligence quotient of human and AI systems.
The study pointed out that Google’s AI had an IQ of 47.28, ahead of Baidu (32.92) and Microsoft’s Bing (31.98). Following Microsoft’s AI, Apple’s Siri only has an IQ of 23.94.

In fact, the AI systems of Google and Microsoft both have been becoming more intelligent over the past two years, noted the researchers, adding that Google’s AI scored only 26.5 and Microsoft's system was 13.5 in 2014 when Baidu and Siri were not yet involved.
However, none of existing popular AI systems could be more clever than a 6-year-old child, who has an average IQ of 55.5 in general, said the researchers.
