“Each horoscope symbolizes something different, but they all have positive meanings to them," Xi says. "The Year of the Dog symbolizes friendship and loyalty. Using the Chinese Lunar New Year horoscope for artistic inspiration is normal because we all want good luck, but the ways it is shown through traditional artwork and modern-day designs are obviously different.”
