Korean Peninsula Diplomacy: South Korean and Canadian Foreign Ministers to hold talks
[]
The Foreign Ministers of South Korea and Canada will hold talks in Seoul this week, focusing on the security situation of the Korean Peninsula. Canada holds the chair of the G-7 group this year and South Korea is calling for it to help build peace in Northeast Asia. Meanwhile, a newspaper in Japan has reported that Kim Jong Un is considering the possibility of a summit with Japan in early June, adding that the DPRK wants financial aid from Japan if relations normalize. Japan's Foreign Minister left open the possibility. The newspaper also has said the DPRK is discussing meetings with Russia in the near future.
