SF Express, China's second largest courier services company, has launched a sealed delivery card - or "Fengmi" - to protect users' information, a move which is widely expected to become industry standard.
The “Invisible Information Card” conceals and encrypts all information relating to senders and recipients and a specially developed app allows couriers to contact customers directly without having access to their personal information.
To reduce the instances of revealing personal information, this new type of express sheet has become the choice of many delivery companies.
Apart from SF Express, Cainiao Network jointly promotes “Invisible Information Card” with EMS and Baishi Express, while Jingdong substitutes personal information on the sheet with smiley faces.

According to delivery expert Zhao Xiaomin, the “Invisible Information Card” is a breakthrough in protecting customer data.
She said that the QR code and other advanced means of payment will also be applied to the express sheet while the system evolves.
Meanwhile, some industry insiders say that the “Invisible Information Card” is only the “first lock” of privacy protection and encryption should also be applied at every step, while companies as well as the government should enhance supervision during information transfer.
China has taken the lead in global express deliveries for three years in a row, said the State Post Bureau at a press conference on Wednesday.
At present, around 2 million people are working for 20,000 delivery enterprises in the country, which has contributed to a 53 percent increase in the volume of business.
