African countries on Wednesday signed an agreement establishing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) in Kigali, capital of Rwanda.
It is the biggest free trade agreement since the establishment of the World Trade Organization (WTO), with 44 nations signing the arrangement forming AfCFTA.
The signing took place during the 10th Extraordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union (AU).
