US President Donald Trump says his meeting with DPRK leader Kim Jong Un will go ahead as scheduled in Singapore. This comes after Trump met with visiting DPRK envoy Kim Yong Chol in Washington. Jessica Stone reports from Washington.
The American President, announcing the Singapore summit with Kim Jong Un is back on June 12th. "You people are going to have to travel because you're going to Singapore."
Trump, making history by welcoming to the Oval Office highest-ranking official from Pyongyang since President Bill Clinton-18 years ago. DPRK envoy Kim Yong Chol came to deliver a letter from Chairman Kim- And stayed for a two-hour meeting in the oval office.
Trump says they discussed a lifting of international sanctions, ending the Korean war and denuclearization. But did Trump get a commitment from Pyongyang to completely get rid of its nuclear weapons?

DONALD TRUMP US PRESIDENT TRUMP: "We had hundreds of new sanctions ready to go and we won't impose them until the talks break down."
What's still unclear - Whether Pyongyang is any more likely to trade nuclear arms for aid. Remember - an official workers party newspaper said Sunday: "As far as the 'economic aid' is concerned, the DPRK has never expected it."
