Some ten gigantic footprints which were found in Bijie, southwest China’s Guizhou Province earlier last year during a field expedition, have now been confirmed as footprints belonging to huge herbivorous dinosaurs, known as sauropods, with the largest footprint of its kind as long as 6 meters. The footprints were found close to the site of a prehistoric lake, suggesting the dinosaurs might have stopped there to get water, according to experts.
