During the past five years, the National People’s Congress (NPC) has done its due work in ensuring China’s reform is based on law and has formulated or revised some laws for guaranteeing people’s livelihood, including the general principles of the civil law, the environment protection law, food safety law and network safety law. Zhou Guangquan, a professor with the Law School of Tsinghua University and former member of the NPC Law Committee, told reporters at the corridor for NPC deputies on Friday.
