Before the start of the 19th CPC National Congress, China in late September released guidelines for creating a favorable environment for entrepreneurs and boosting entrepreneurial spirit.
The guidelines promised that the government will protect the legal rights and interests of entrepreneurs, ensure fair competition and strengthen protection of intellectual property rights.
Along with China's efforts to protect legal and intellectual property rights, and the presence of a large delegation of entrepreneurs at the 19th CPC National Congress, Hong Hao, chief China strategist of BOCOM International Holdings, believes that China is making the right moves.
Many of the entrepreneurs at the 19th CPC National Congress expressed enthusiasm for the government's support of entrepreneurial spirit and innovation.
Chairman of Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Wang Min, who was inspired by the country’s support of entrepreneurs, defined the entrepreneurial spirit as persistence, determination and most importantly, innovation.
Despite a challenging global business environment, many entrepreneurs are optimistic about the future, with many expecting innovation to be the main engine to drive growth.
Zhang Ruimin, CEO of Haier Group, believed that now is the best time for innovation due to the internet era. He also said that Chinese enterprises are leading the global enterprises management trend instead of merely imitating others’ experience.
Jack Ma, founder of China’s e-commerce giant Alibaba, who is not a delegate to the congress, also told media that because Xi’s report represents the CPC’s promise to the country, China’s enterprises should also fulfill their responsibility to the society with contributions and innovation.
