Trump congratulates Xi on his re-election as General Secretary of CPC Central Committee

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday congratulated Xi Jinping for being re-elected as General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and for the conclusion of the 19th CPC National Congress.
Trump extended his congratulation in a phone conversation with Xi, in which both of the leaders also expressed willingness to work on the development of China-US ties.
Trump said he looks forward to his upcoming visit to China and meeting with Xi in Beijing to exchange views on international and regional issues as well as bilateral cooperation.
Xi thanked Trump for his congratulation and stressed that China attaches great importance to China-US relations and vowed to jointly blueprint the future development of the two countries.
