The Turkish government has rejected the possibility of political dialogue with Syria. Russia's Foreign Ministry proposed negotiations on Tuesday, saying Turkey should open direct talks with Syria to resolve the conflict in Afrin.
A spokesperson for the Turkish government on Wednesday said the nation's intelligence agencies are able to get in touch with Syrian counterparts when necessary. High-level political dialogue, however, is out of the question. The Turkish Foreign Ministry echoed this statement, saying there would be no talks with Syria.
