The US Senate overwhelmingly approved a non-binding motion to give Congress a role in Trump's decisions to impose tariffs.
The vote was 88 to 11.
It's part of an ongoing effort led by some Republicans, who worry tariffs will hurt American employers and raise prices.
Meanwhile, a survey by the American Chamber of Commerce shows nearly 70-percent of US businesses operating in China oppose the tariffs.
While just 8.5 percent support them.
34 percent of respondents felt Chinese government policies toward foreign companies had improved, up from 28 percent last year.
