The Georgia Dome was imploded with nearly 5,000 pounds (2,268 kilograms) of explosives in downtown Atlanta on Monday. It was one of the United States’ largest domed stadiums, and the venue for lots of big events. It is being replaced by the 1.6-billion-US dollar Mercedes-Benz Stadium next door.
