Brandon Jennings scored a game-high 42 points, but the Shanxi Brave Dragons were unable to overcome the Beikong Fly Dragons’ fourth-quarter surge, as the capital side came out with a 109-101 victory in a Chinese Basketball Association match on Wednesday night.
Xu Mengjun scored team-high 25 points, Shavlik Randolph finished with 24, added by Zaid Abbass’ 17 and Stephon Marbury’s 11 points. On the Shanxi side, Luis Scola finished with 14 points and 18 rebounds.
The hosts were boosted by former Houston Rockets player Luis Scola in the first quarter. He led Shanxi to a 7-0 run only to see Randolph and Jennings firing from the distance to cut the deficit. Shanxi led by one point after the first quarter.

Beijing fought back in the second quarter, with Xu and Randolph both sinking long shots to take the lead. But Jennings was also accurate with the three-pointers – Shanxi restored the lead to 51-48. He continued the hot hand in the third quarter as the Brave Dragons kept themselves in the driver's seat after the third quarter.
Jennings connected with another three-pointer in the fourth quarter to extend the lead to 12 points, but Beikong fought back hard after that, bagging 29 points in the quarter alone over Shanxi’s 15. Marbury led the charge and the Fly Dragons overcame the deficit to beat Shanxi 109-101.
