Earlier, CGTN sat down with Argentinian Ambassador to China, Diego Guelar. He told us about how he sees further cooperation between China and Argentina under the G20 framework.
DIEGO GUELAR ARGENTINIAN AMBASSADOR TO CHINA "I think that in the G20 we share fundamental values, basically the use of dialogue as a core instrument in international relations, instead of confrontation. The support and the deepening of multilateralism, that is, by the World Trade Organization, is needed by developing countries. Among the trade tensions, China itself can contend in equal terms with the US. This is something that a country like Argentina, as well as the majority of the developing countries in the world cannot do by themselves. We need international and multilateral organizations, like the WTO, where we can resolve our differences using dialogue and in peace. So, this is an element that from one of those two world superpowers, China in this case, and a country like Argentina, and our development, we agree in these fundamental values regarding the fight against poverty, environmental protection, international terrorism and drug-trafficking. There are a lot of shared values in which the two of us feel very close to the big goals proposed by China, and that we share."
