Winter has come to China, and many places are covered by fallen leaves. Some art lovers have picked them up and changed them into artwork.
In the Communication University in north China’s Shanxi Province, some art students used the fallen leaves as a canvas to draw beautiful paintings. Pictures of their colorful artworks have won many likes on social media.
These art students said it’s not easy to draw on the fallen leaves which were quite crisp and fragile in cold winter. They had to put the leaves in warm water for a while before they started the painting. And their teacher inspired them to look for unique views and angles to serve as backgrounds for these leaves.
The students used watercolor inks, water-soluble pencils and oil paint sticks to complete these foliage artworks, creating impressive aesthetic appeal.
Teacher Wang Wei said Color Design is a basic course for students in the Advertising Department, and the freestyle paintings on the leaves will help to stimulate their interest in colors and photography.
