When people get married, they receive blessings from families and friends. But if there is a large age or cultural gap between the two, they may receive a lot of questions.
That’s exactly what happened to 43-year-old Zou Qianshun from northeast China and his 27-year-old wife Sandra from Cameroon when they got married in 2017.

Back in 2015, when Zou, who had been working on fishing boats for over a decade, arrived at the Cameroon port city of Duoala, He met Sandra in the hair salon where she worked, and fell in love with her soon after.

They got married in Cameroon in March 2017, then went back to China.
As soon as they returned to Zou’s hometown, they attracted a lot of attention from curious villagers, so Zou decided to livestream their daily life.

The new environment would bring challenges for Sandra. Would she be able to cope with being so far away from her hometown and how would she handle the cold weather in northeastern China?

It turns out, relatively well. A year on and the couple seems to be going strong. Sandra has learned to cook several traditional Chinese dishes, and her mother-in-law has praised her as “smart, pretty, filial and capable.”
