Aerial footage shows California’s Thomas wildfire sent up an enormous plume in Santa Barbara County on Sunday. Residents had been under a fire threat for days and were choked with smoke. New evacuations were ordered in Carpinteria, a seaside city in Santa Barbara County. Authorities said the blaze has scorched 230,000 acres, making it the fifth largest wildfire in modern California history. However, only one fatality has been reported so far.
