Dutchwoman Visser wins 5000m speedskating gold
Esmee Visser clocked six minutes and 50.23 seconds, becoming the second Dutchwoman to win this event at Winter Olympic Games. Yvonne van Gennip won in Calgary in 1988.
The 22-year-old was also the second-youngest athlete to win this event. Martina Sablikova of the Czech Republic settles for silver.
The bronze went to the Olympic Athlete from Russia, Natalia Voronina.
Cologna keeps men's 15km cross-country crown
Dario Cologna of Switzerland became the first cross-country skier to win the same individual event three times in a row by claiming the men's 15km event.
The 31-year-old clocked 33 minutes and 43.9 seconds to take his fourth overall Olympic gold, beating Norway's Simen Hegstad Krueger.
Denis Spitsov, of the Olympic Athletes From Russia, took the bronze medal.
Moioli takes women's snowboard cross title
Italy's Michela Moioli earned the women's Olympic snowboard cross title after dominating the event throughout the World Cup season.

Sweden's Hansdotter wins women's slalom final
Swedish Alpine skier Frida Hansdotter was the winner in women's slalom, while defending champion Mikaela Shiffrin had a disappointing afternoon, finishing in fourth.
Hansdotter posted a time of 1 minute and 38.63 seconds over two runs. Wendy Holdener of Switzerland was 0.05 seconds behind for the second place.
Austrian Katharina Gallhuber finished third.
As for the medal table, Germany tops the standings with 9 golds, Norway is second with 6 golds and 8 silvers, the Netherlands has the same top-place finishes as the Norwegians, but have fewer silvers.
The United States has 5 golds to sit at fourth, and Canada is fifth. China now has four medals overall.
