M6.7 earthquake hits Indonesia’s Banda Sea

An earthquake preliminarily measuring 6.7 at the Richter scale hit the Banda Sea, Indonesia on Tuesday, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported.
The epicenter, with a depth of 549.2 km, was initially determined to be at 7.236 degrees south latitude and 123.040 degrees east longitude.
There has not been a tsunami warning announced.
