At least 12 people died on Tuesday when a tour bus overturned in southeastern Mexico.
Authorities and reports say that the bus was carrying 31 passengers, most of whom were travelers on the Royal Caribbean cruise ships.
They were en route to Chacchoben, an ancient Mayan ruin in the state of Quintana Roo, when the vehicle crashed, injuring 18 and killing at least 12, including a child.
Among the passengers were nationals from the US, Italy, Brazil, Canada, and Sweden.
The tour bus company Costa Maya later released a statement saying that the passengers were taken to hospitals, adding that five have been discharged while the rest of the injured are in stable condition.
Local authorities said that they are investigating the cause of the incident.
