Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon used one sentence – cooperation for common prosperity – to summarize his impression of China's success during the country's 40-year reform and opening-up process at the 2018 Boao Forum for Asia. Ban said China made a wise decision when it decided to reform and open-up. Ban praised Chinese President Xi Jinping's commitment to building a shared future for mankind and emphasized that “no country can live alone, we have to live together.”
