President Trump's daughter and senior White House adviser Ivanka Trump says the US is seeking to reaffirm its commitment to pressure the DPRK to abandon its nuclear weapons. The younger Trump said this at a banquet hosted by South Korean President Moon Jae-in after a closed-door meeting between the two.
IVANKA TRUMP PRESIDENT TRUMP'S DAUGHTER & SENIOR WHITE HOUSE ADVISER "I thank you for hosting us all here tonight as we reaffirm our bonds of friendship, of cooperation, of partnership and reaffirm our commitment to our maximum pressure campaign to ensure that the Korean Peninsula is denuclearised."
Moon says South Korea cannot acknowledge the DPRK as a nuclear state, and talks with Pyongyang on denuclearization and improving inter-Korean relations must go hand in hand. Moon says close cooperation between the US and South Korea is important.
