Security Threat: US embassy in Turkey closed on Monday

America's embassy in Ankara, Turkey is closed to the public on Monday because of a security threat. The mission did not explain much more except to advise US citizens in Turkey to be vigilant when visiting popular tourist sites and crowded places. According to a statement issued by the embassy, only emergency services are being provided, while visa interviews and other routine services have been cancelled.
