Chinese people living in Dubai held a parade on Friday to celebrate the New Year. About 1-thousand 5 hundred Chinese expatriates joined the march in the shopping center, City Walk. They welcomed the Year of the Dog with traditional dragon and lion dancing. It was the biggest Chinese parade since China and the United Arab Emirates established diplomatic relations in 1984. The UAE's Vice President, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, attended the gathering and expressed good wishes to the Chinese people around the world.
