The first Chinese ambassador to Panama, Wei Qiang on Wednesday said that the Chinese embassy in Panama would wholeheartedly promote friendly, mutually-beneficial relations and cooperation between Beijing and Panama.
Wei said the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries would have a profound significance in the history.
Panama's geographical advantage makes it an essential hub for global trade, logistics, finance, and transportation. "Chinese government thinks highly of Panama's active attitude towards China's Belt and Road Initiative," he added while assuming the ambassador's office.
