Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Tuesday that it is time to test the sincerity of all parties involved in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) issue, noting that whenever the situation on the Korean Peninsula cools down, disturbance re-emerges.
"The international community needs to see clearly who is the one to push for the peaceful settlement of the nuclear issue on the peninsula, and who will be the one to bring the situation back to tension," added Wang.
Wang made the remarks during an interview with Hong Kong-based Phoenix Television, after he concluded a four-country trip in Africa.

"Concerning the Korean Peninsula situation, calm is better than tension and dialogue is better than confrontation," he noted.
"It's our common goal to realize the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula," Wang maintained, adding that both the international community and China have an unwavering stand on it.
Wang also compared solving the DPRK issue to climbing a mountain, saying that sometimes finding another path can also reach the goal of a denuclearized Korean Peninsula.
The foreign minister stressed that due to the efforts of the DPRK, the Republic of Korea (ROK) and other relevant parties, positive signs have recently emerged on the peninsula and all parties should cherish it.
Meanwhile, the DPRK and the ROK have begun vice ministerial talks Wednesday on key details associated with the Pyongyang's plan to join the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
