Traffic police in China’s Suzhou city has installed traffic lights on zebra crossings to get pedestrians who have their eyes glued to mobile phones to look up and around for safe street crossing. In September last year, a pedestrian was run over by a car and killed while focusing on her smart phone and running red lights at a zebra crossing in Suzhou.
