And in Africa, Huawei's I.T. Day in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi gave valued customers a look at the company's latest information and communication technology trends. The telecom firm plans to expand its presence in Kenya, by providing cutting-edge products and solutions to help the country's digital transformation. CGTN's Asta Tall reports.
At Huawei's IT Day where participants got an in-depth look into the company's new product roll-out.
ASTA TALL NAIROBI, KENYA "Innovation was the word of the day with Huawei showing off its capabilities. Highlighting products such as the Dorado 6,000, a faster and more efficient way for banks, governments and businesses to store and process data."
The model goes up to the latest Dorado 18,000.

PRODUCT MANAGER, SOUTHERN AFRICA "How is it better than other storage in the market is that the disk the flash disk is manufactured by Huawei themselves, which leads to higher availability and durability. So it is known that Huawei's flash drives are much durable to the competitors like we offer 3 million hours of durability. Yes, so in terms of help from Huawei, that's what I was explaining during my presentation. One person was asking me a question like can I buy the kit directly from Huawei. Yes, Huawei can do it but it doesn't help the local business. So that's why we partner up with the local vendors to enable them and create an ecosystem."
For over 20 years, Huawei has been building an ecosystem in Africa. By showcasing new technologies, it strives to build the continent's capacity.
