A fire aboard a large anti-submarine ship of Russia’s Pacific Fleet in Vladivostok has been brought under control and put out, TASS reported on Friday.
The damage to the ship, which was moored at a port in Vladivostok, was insignificant, the news agency said citing local authorities. The vessel was undergoing repairs and important devices had been dismantled.
The fire broke out in the engine room on Friday morning and a total of 106 people were evacuated from the ship with no casualties reported, according to TASS.
