With the assistance of an anesthetist and obstetric specialists, Lu readied herself to go into labor.
She used her hands to manipulate the baby out of her body and six hours later, a healthy baby girl weighing 3.4 kilograms was born.
“The labor went smoothly. There was not much pain,” she said, pointing out that she was the first person in the world to see her baby.
Web users have also shared her excitement after pictures of the birth went viral.

On Zhihu, China's equivalent of Quora, some even suggested that Lu is now qualified to write guidance for other mothers interesting in delivering their own babies.
In China, childbirth is seen as crucial to mothers and often to the whole family.
To have a baby delivered in a safe and professional manner and for mothers to receive the best medical care, families often line up around the clock for a bed in a reputable hospital.
