A new TV that is only 3.65 millimeters thick was presented at an electronics supermarket in Shenzhen city, Guangdong Province in southern China. With a thickness half of that of an iPhone 8, it becomes the world's thinnest TV ever made.
Manufactured by Skyworth, a Chinese company based in Shenzhen which specializes in televisions and audio-visual products, it's also slimmer than the world's thinnest smartphone, the 4.75mm Oppo R5.
The TV, named the Wallpaper OLED (W8 series), is even thinner than two coins combined, which is 3.7 millimeters.

First announced in April 2017, the ultra-thin TV can be hung on the wall and connected via a cable to an input box, making it look like a painting.
Since the first television in China came out in 1958, the country has now become the world's largest TV manufacturer, surpassing Japan in 1987. At the end of 2016, China was producing close to 60% of all the television sets in the world.
