The Iran nuclear deal is an international agreement that has been formally approved by the United Nations Security Council, and it is the responsibility of all signatories to keep maintaining and implementing the deal, which is also in line with the common wish of the international community, said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in a phone call with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif on Saturday.
Wang added that continuing to maintain and implement the Iran nuclear deal is good for the international nuclear non-proliferation system, as well as the peaceful resolution of other hot issues worldwide.
During the call, Wang also said that so far, the implementation of the deal hasn’t gotten off track, but will face some new complicated factors. China hopes that Iran will keep calm and continue to fulfill the relevant obligations set in the deal. China will keep close contact with every signatory, including Iran, as well as the international society, and continue to play a constructive role in maintaining and implementing this important deal.
Zarif agreed with what Wang said and expressed gratitude towards him in the phone.
