Later on Thursday, the UN Security Council is expected to vote on a draft resolution demanding a ceasefire in Syria. Once it's passed, aid delivery and evacuation will begin in 48 hours. And a 30-day truce will kick off in 72 hours.
The ceasefire will be in effect in Eastern Ghouta, Yarmouk, a Palestinian refugee camp in Damascus -- as well as Foua and Kefraya - two towns in Idlib that were under heavy bombing in 2015. The ceasefire will not apply to ISIL or al-Qaeda.
