Chinese Premier Li Keqiang is now in Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia. He is expected to meet Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, and hold a joint press conference. The two will attend an opening ceremony of the Year of Tourism. Premier Li will also meet Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic. He will also attend a leaders' meeting of China and Central and Eastern European Countries or CEEC in the seaside city of Dubrovnik. Before the visit, CGTN spoke exclusively to the Croatian president.
KOLINDA GRABAR-KITAROVIC CROATIAN PRESIDENT "There will be a lot of topics on the table to discuss from our bilateral relationship to global issues, issues of global security and stability to the situation in our respective regions, but most importantly in the context of our bilateral relations, further deepening and widening of the relationship in particular to include trade and investment. Croatia and China, I would say our bilateral relationship is really excellent and there are no open issues nothing to resolve. I have to tell you I'm very much looking forward to say that visit and when the prime minister of Croatia, prime minister asked me last year what do you think should we candidate Croatia for the new meeting China plus 16, I said absolutely. We want to take over the not take over in the Initiative in terms of but controlling it, but pushing it forward because I believe that China can do a lot of good in this part of Europe."
