A series of Chinese cultural shows to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year kicked off in the Jordanian capital Amman on Monday.
The cultural performance was hosted at the Royal Cultural Center by the Chinese embassy in cooperation with Jordan's Ministry of Culture and the Greater Amman Municipality.

On display were folk music, traditional dance, acrobatics, puppet dance and mysterious Sichuan show "face-changing" performed by artists from the Chengdu Tianfu Cultural Troupe.
Addressing the event, Chinese Ambassador Pan Weifang said China-Jordan ties have witnessed increased cooperation in fields of culture and economy.
He added that a Chinese cultural center will open in Jordan later this year.
