We start with the crisis in Syria and even though there is supposed to be a truce in place, we're learning the Syrian government is still bombing the rebel enclave of eastern Ghouta -- killing at least 24 people in this recent round of attacks. The overnight air strikes and fighting persisted despite the UN deal for a 30-day ceasefire. That was approved on Saturday, in order to allow the delivery of aid and the evacuation of wounded. The violence in eastern Ghouta over the past week has been one of the deadliest in Syria's seven-year war, killing more than 500 people, many of them children.
