Livelihood Improvement: MIIT: China will cancel data roaming cost while accelerating internet speed

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially responded to suggestions in the mobile communication area. The Ministry said that the policy of cancelling data roaming charges will take effect on July 1st. Meanwhile, MIIT encourages telecom enterprises to reduce mobile communication fees and makes sure more than 30 percent of data cost will be cut in 2018. The government also claimed to improve telecom infrastructure and provide more public wifi-services for users.
